ClaimChecker™: every claim checked before you present it

ClaimChecker is the check every generated claim passes before it reaches a prospect. A claim may only cite a source you allowed, a second model reads that source and judges whether it supports the claim as written, and you confirm, replace or reject each one before the deck leaves DeckShift.

the check

Only the sources you allow. Every claim checked.

Most generation tools treat a citation as a formatting choice. ClaimChecker treats it as a gate: a claim without an allowed source never reaches a slide, and a claim with one is read against that source by a model that was not in the room when the slide was written.

A claim needs a source you allowed

Your profile, your offering, the brochures and pages you added, and the prospect's own site. Nothing else. If a site could not be read, the deck says so instead of pretending it was.

A second model reads the source

The whole source, not a summary of it, beside the claim as written on the slide. It returns supported, not supported or inconclusive, and that verdict is stored with the claim, not recomputed when you open the deck.

You sign off, or you don't

Each claim opens with its verdict, the source quote and what the source page looked like the day the check ran. Confirm it under your name, replace it, or reject it and the slide reflows.

The check runs once, at generation, and its result stays with the claim. A claim you typed yourself carries no verdict and is marked as yours, so a typed line can never pass as a checked one.

the exit

Nothing unresolved leaves without your say-so

A deck with an open question on it is still a draft. ClaimChecker holds the door on the two ways a deck leaves DeckShift, download and share, until every claim is either cleared or knowingly waved through.

The gate names the slides

Download or share a deck with unresolved claims and you get one confirmation listing the slides affected. A clean deck is never interrupted. Your admin picks the bar: a source attached, the check passed, or a person signed off.

Sources go stale, and the check knows

Replace a source, edit your offering, or let a prospect read age past thirty days and the claims built on it are flagged for another look. The citation itself never changes under you.

The verdicts, the citations and who confirmed what travel with the deck, into the exported file and into the shared view, so the person on the other end sees the checking too.

questions

Frequently asked questions

Where can a claim come from?

Only from sources you supplied: your company profile, the offering you picked, the documents and pages you added as sources, and the prospect's own website. DeckShift never goes to the open web to back a claim. When none of your sources say what a slide needs, the slide ships without the proof point rather than with an invented one.

What does the check actually do?

A separate model is handed the claim exactly as it was written for the slide and the full text of the source behind it. That model sees nothing from the one that wrote the slide, so it has no reason to agree. It answers one question, does the source support this, and the verdict is stored with the claim: supported, not supported, or inconclusive. We don't give numbers the benefit of the doubt. A figure that is not in the source is not supported, however plausible.

What happens to a claim the check could not settle?

It stays marked unresolved until a person deals with it. You open it, read the source for yourself, and confirm it, swap in a claim you can stand behind, or reject it and the slide reflows without it. Confirming is recorded against your name, and the record travels with the deck.

Can a deck go out with unchecked claims in it?

Only if you say so, slide by slide. Download and share both stop on a deck with unresolved claims in it and name the slides. A deck with nothing open on it goes straight through. Your admin decides what counts as resolved, from a source attached up to a person's signature.
